Mumbai :  Union Bank of India bags the 16th NCPEDP – Mphasis Universal Design Awards 2025 under the Role Model Companies and Organizations category in recognition of its ground-breaking work in advancing digital accessibility through its Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) App, Accessible Digital Library for Employees with Disabilities, Corporate Website meeting WCAG global accessibility standard and its overarching accessibility initiative, Union Access.

The award was given by Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, Hon’ble Secretary, Dept. of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Govt. of India. It was received by Shri Sanjay Narayan, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head, Delhi & Shri Jithender Maniram, General Manager, Dept. of Information Technology, Central Office, Mumbai, on behalf of the Bank at an Award Ceremony held at New Delhi.
