Sudha Reddy, Leander Paes & Julia Morley lead the run with global icons

Miss World delegates, celebrities and citizens stride for the cause

‘Beyond Borders’ edition to launch in 2026 across 140 countries

Mumbai : If the Mumbai Marathon symbolises the city’s passion for endurance and community spirit, Hyderabad’s Pink Power Run 2.0 has emerged as a similar force of purpose-driven participation, bringing together 20,000 runners to champion breast cancer awareness and early detection.

Held at the scenic Necklace Road in Hyderabad, the second edition of the Pink Power Run was spearheaded by philanthropist Sudha Reddy, MEIL Managing Director Krishna Reddy, Miss World Organisation Chairperson Julia Morley, and tennis legend Leander Paes. The event also featured Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri, along with Miss World continental queens and Miss India World Nandini Gupta, lending a global spotlight to the cause.

Much like the Mumbai Marathon, which unites professionals, amateurs, celebrities and citizens for health and social causes, the Pink Power Run brought together a diverse cross-section of society—from elite athletes and corporate leaders to students, senior citizens and underprivileged women. Themed ‘Stride & Shine’, the run showcased how fitness and philanthropy can intersect to create lasting social impact.

“Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among Indian women, and early detection can save countless lives,” said Julia Morley, urging Indians—and particularly Mumbaikars—to adopt proactive screening and self-check practices.

Leander Paes added, “Initiatives like the Pink Power Run echo the spirit of the Mumbai Marathon. Both prove that every stride taken for a cause contributes to meaningful change. Mumbai, with its unmatched energy, can amplify this movement nationwide.”

Founder Sudha Reddy announced the ambitious Pink Power Run – Beyond Borders, set to debut in 2026 across 140 countries, featuring a 24-hour continental relay and Miss World’s seven continental queens as global ambassadors. “Our goal is to create a worldwide platform that empowers individuals to take charge of their health,” she said

The Hyderabad event featured competitive 10 km, 5 km and 3 km races, with winners receiving substantial prizes. Julia Morley was also honoured with the Excellence in Mentorship Award 2025 for her lifelong dedication to empowering women.

For Mumbai media and audiences, the Pink Power Run serves as a reminder that cities across India can replicate the marathon’s unique blend of fitness, solidarity and social responsibility. As the movement prepares for its global leap in 2026, Mumbai’s vibrant running community stands
