Mumbai : – Schneider Electric, the global leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the appointment of Mr. Arvind Melagani as Vice President – General Counsel, Greater India Territory. In his new role, he will lead the legal and company secretarial teams across the Greater India territory and will work closely with the India Management Team.

This appointment reinforces Schneider Electric’s commitment to strengthening its leadership bench in India, ensuring sound governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal guidance in one of its most important growth markets. Mr. Melagani will be based at Schneider Electric’s Avinya Campus in Bengaluru.

Mr Melagani joins Schneider Electric with over 23 years of experience in legal, regulatory, and governance operations. Prior to this, he served as Vice President and General Counsel at Bosch Group, India and Robert Bosch GmbH, overseeing legal and company secretarial functions across multiple countries including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Earlier in his career, he worked at Jurisperitus Law Firm, specializing in capital markets, M&A, project finance, and corporate advisory, and also actively practiced civil and commercial litigation before the Supreme Court of India.

A Member of the Bar Council of India, Mr Melagani is also a Qualified Independent Director from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and a Certified Coach from the Coaching Federation of India. He holds an MBA in Applied Finance from NMIMS, Mumbai.
