Bengaluru : Flipkart’s quick commerce offering, Flipkart Minutes, continues to play a pivotal role in helping customers fulfil their festive needs within minutes, from last-minute gifting to essential pooja items. Flipkart Minutes recorded a 1.5X growth in orders over weekly orders during the festive season, with over 19.37 lakh unique orders placed during the festive week (18th – 22nd October). The highest single order value stood at  INR 3.27 lakh underscoring the platform’s growing trust among consumers. Items like food and sweets, diyas, silver coins, rangoli powders, and rice lights recorded strong traction, as customers turned to quick commerce for everything from festive essentials to indulgent buys.

Customers also shopped for pooja essentials such as cotton wicks, havan items, incense sticks, dhoop, ghee, and pooja flowers, while home and kitchen categories saw strong traction for showpieces, table lamps, air fryers, dinner sets, pressure cookers, bedsheets, and cookware as homes get festival ready. Additionally, shoppers opted formen’s casual shirts, jeans, duffle bags, and perfumes for gifting, while festive snacks, including sweets, exotic nuts, and pistachios emerged as popular quick buys for celebrations.

In metros, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai showed strong traction, whereas in smaller cities, Tricity, Patna and Guwahati drove maximum demand growth for Diwali. In order to meet the increasing festive demand, Minutes has opened additional stores across key cities, which has created significant job opportunities. Minutes has also partnered with a few D2C brands such as Mondelez, Farmley, among others, to widen its festive selection for customers. This growth reinforces Flipkart Minutes’ role as a trusted, time-sensitive solution for everyday festive needs.
