Rajasthan : Ambuja Cements, the cement and building materials company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, as part of its CSR initiatives, celebrated 19 years of impact at its Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute in Jaitaran, Rajasthan, with a grand blood donation camp. The event saw enthusiastic participation from trainees, alumni and community partners.
Over the years, SEDI Jaitaran has trained thousands of rural youth, equipping them with industry-relevant skills and enabling pathways to employment and self-reliance. Chief Guest Shri Avinash Gehlot, Cabinet Minister (Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Rajasthan), commended SEDI’s journey as a milestone institution for rural employment. More than 150 youth including 104 alumni donated blood, reflecting the spirit of service and nation building.
The event honoured 39 alumni who have excelled in their careers since the institute’s inception. Partners including the branch managers of AU Small Finance Bank and YES Bank were also felicitated for their continued support. Alumni shared inspiring stories of transformation, highlighting how SEDI has empowered them to create better livelihoods.
Ambuja Cement also announced a series of new initiatives, including awareness sessions on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana for recently placed trainees at the placement cell, dedicated desks for the LIC Bima Sakhi and LIC HFL Apprentice programs, and the commencement of four new training batches. These efforts reaffirm the company’s strong commitment to equipping rural youth with sustainable employment opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship.
The event concluded with the Viksit Bharat 2047 oath ceremony—an ambitious vision of the Government of India to transform the nation into a developed, self-reliant, and prosperous country by the year 2047. The oath was administered under the leadership of the Hon’ble Cabinet Minister.
