• Partnership brings together MSDE, Google and CCS University to advance AI adoption in higher and vocational education

Mumbai : On the 123rd birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh, whose life and legacy stand for social justice, rural empowerment, and education-led nation building, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), today announced a landmark partnership with Google and Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS University), Meerut.

In a fitting tribute to his vision of inclusive development, the collaboration aims to transform CCS University into India’s first AI-enabled university, positioning technology as a tool to democratise education and opportunity for youth across Bharat. This partnership also aims to address employability challenge by leveraging AI to bridge the India–Bharat divide, empowering Tier-2 and Tier-3 youth beyond language and access barriers.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Government of India, emphasised the inclusivity of the initiative, “True development occurs when we dismantle barriers to entry. This initiative focuses heavily on vernacular inclusion, allowing students to learn and express themselves in their mother tongue while mastering global technologies. By transforming CCS University into a model AI institution, we are creating a blueprint for the country—one where employability is driven by skill and merit. We are prioritizing our youth to drive the nation’s economic engine. This partnership reflects Chaudhary Charan Singh ji’s enduring belief in inclusive development, with education anchored in the realities and aspirations of India.

Under the MoU, CCS University will serve as the pilot institution for developing and implementing an AI Adoption Framework.

Ms. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE, and Prof. Sangeeta Shukla, Vice-Chancellor of CCS University also graced the occasion. Additionally, key officials from MSDE and senior representatives from Google India were also present.

By anchoring this initiative at Chaudhary Charan Singh University on the birth anniversary of a leader who championed education for the masses, the partnership symbolises a renewed national commitment: to place technology in the service of inclusion, skills, and dignity of work—so that India’s growth story truly reflects the aspirations of both India and Bharat.
