Mumbai : In a heartfelt commitment to the health of the children, Narayana Health SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai, is proud to announce the launch of its dedicated Satellite OPD at Noble Hospital, Solapur. The initiative has been planned to support families who often find it difficult to travel to Mumbai for advanced medical care, particularly when long-term treatment or frequent follow-ups are required for their children.

The new Out-Patient Department will initially offer consultations in key paediatric superspecialities, including paediatric cardiology, paediatric haematology and oncology & BMT,  paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology, liver transplant at Noble Hospital, near Police Gramin Mukhyalaya, Solapur. By bringing these services to Solapur, the OPD aims to reduce the need for repeated travel to Mumbai while ensuring timely evaluations, regular monitoring, and continuous care of children with complex medical conditions.

Meet the Visiting Specialists

Clinical experts from Narayana Health SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai, will visit Noble Hospital in Solapur once a month to offer expert diagnosis and primary care.

Speaking about the same, Dr Soonu Udani, Medical Director, Narayana Health SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai, stated, “For many families, distance becomes a major barrier to consistent medical care. Through this OPD in Solapur, our effort will be to ensure that children receive specialised consultations closer to where they live, helping avoid delays in diagnosis and follow-up, and making medical care more accessible and manageable for families. The specialists will partner and coordinate with the primary care giver of the child which will reduce travel and stress, while assuring continued care from both specialist and primary pediatrician.”

As part of this initiative, the hospital conducted a meeting of the paediatricians of IAP Solapur to inform them and share the benefits of opening this outreach OPD. During the programme, clinical experts from Narayana Health SRCC Children’s Hospital, MumbaiDr Supratim SenDr Priti Mehta, and Dr Aditya Kulkarni  conducted focused clinical sessions.

The Solapur OPD is built on the principle of “Care Close to Home.” It reflects Narayana Health SRCC Children’s Hospital’s continued commitment to extending quality paediatric superspeciality care beyond metropolitan centres, while strengthening regional healthcare networks and supporting families closer to their communities by this concept of “shared care.”
