Prof. Suman Chakraborty, Director, IIT Kharagpur, said, “As IIT Kharagpur marks its Platinum Jubilee, we ask not only how far we have come in seventy-five years, but how far our knowledge can now travel. The National Education Policy 2020 calls on us to carry quality education to every doorstep, and the Outreach Course Network is our answer: credit-bearing programmes that take the faculty, rigour and standards of Kharagpur beyond our campus to learners across the nation. In our seventy-fifth year, we reaffirm a simple conviction, that a young Indian’s future must be shaped by aspiration and ability, not by the gate they were able to walk through.”

Speaking on the development, Rahul Attuluri, Co-Founder and CEO, NxtWave said, “We are delighted to collaborate with IIT Kharagpur, an institution that has played a pioneering role in shaping India’s technology and innovation ecosystem for decades. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to preparing students for the opportunities emerging in the age of AI. Generative AI and Agentic AI are rapidly transforming the way technology is built and deployed across industries. Through this micro-specialisation, we aim to provide students with structured exposure to these cutting-edge domains and help them develop the skills required to thrive in an AI-driven world. We believe such industry-relevant learning experiences will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of innovators, builders, and technology leaders.”
