Companies in BKC can now buy discounted Cityflo Corporate Passes for their employees and pay only for the rides taken. This will cut cab commute cost by up to 60%, and will enable corporates a tangible way to back the city’s shared-mobility push

Mumbai : In a path-breaking initiative, Cityflo, India’s largest private bus staff transport network, has opened its 600-bus, 150-route network to BKC’s corporate employees on a pay-by-the-seat basis. The launch is aligned with MMRDA’s Friday Public Transport Day initiative.

Under the Cityflo Corporate Pass Programme, companies can issue passes to their employees at corporate rates and pay only for the rides taken, with no commitment to a dedicated fleet and no minimum guarantees on a route.

Through this programme:

  • The companies can choose to plug into the existing Cityflo bus network, where employees book seats through the Cityflo app, and the company is billed only for the seats taken
  • The passes will work the same for all companies regardless of their strength. The companies can choose how much to cover and change it anytime on the go.
  • The initiative will facilitate employees switching from a car to a bus with non-negotiable features on board, including AC, a guaranteed seat, a timely schedule, and a tracked ride.

In addition, the programme can be turned on within days, with no capital outlay.

Speaking on the development, Sankalp Kelshikar, Co-founder & Head of Cityflo Corporate, said, “”We’ve launched Corporate Passes for companies in BKC who want to back the shared-mobility movement by encouraging their employees to switch to public transport. The Corporate Passes are expected to reduce the overall employee transport spend by up to 30%.  We cover almost every catchment to-and-from BKC. And, where we don’t, we can add buses within a couple of days based on the demand.”

This program will also feed directly into corporate sustainability goals and contribution to decongesting the hub.

Cityflo will also be offering free metro feeder rides for customers for every Friday in July. Cityflo currently operates 100 buses in BKC, covering all the major residential catchments, and subsequently plans to add 50 more buses.
