Justdial Limited, India’s No. 1 local search engine, has reported a notable rise in consumer searches related to hotels, resorts and hospitality employment opportunities across the country. The analysis compares search volumes between June 2025–May 2026 and June 2024–May 2025, reflecting sustained momentum in India’s hospitality sector, driven by increased domestic travel, tourism and a busy summer vacation season that encouraged leisure getaways across the country.
At a national level, Hotels & Resorts searches increased by 22%, highlighting growing consumer interest in accommodation across leisure and business travel segments. The rise also reflects heightened travel planning during the summer months, when families, students and working professionals actively searched for destinations and stay options during school holidays and seasonal vacations. Delhi recorded the highest increase among major cities with a 46% rise in searches, followed by Jaipur at 31% and Kolkata at 25%. Pune and Ahmedabad each witnessed 19% growth, while Chennai and Mumbai recorded increases of 17% and 11%, respectively, highlighting healthy demand across key travel markets.
Parallelly, searches on Justdial for Hospitality Jobs & Staffing Services grew by 12% across India, signalling continued hiring activity as hotels, resorts and hospitality businesses expanded operations to cater to increased tourist footfall. Chandigarh emerged as the strongest growth market with a 17% increase in searches, followed by Delhi at 15% and Lucknow at 13%. Pune and Indore each recorded 7% growth, while Patna and Ahmedabad witnessed increases of 5% and 2%, respectively.
The data points to continued confidence in India’s hospitality ecosystem, with rising interest not only in hotels and resorts but also in employment and staffing opportunities across the sector. The simultaneous growth in accommodation-related and hospitality job searches reflects expanding domestic tourism, strong summer travel demand and the industry’s ongoing need for skilled talent to support increasing consumer demand.
