The airline will operate two daily flights between Delhi and Bhopal, along with one daily flight between Mumbai and Bhopal
National: Air India Express has added Madhya Pradesh’s capital, Bhopal, to its expansive domestic network with daily services connecting the city with the national capital – Delhi and financial capital – Mumbai, starting 1 August 2026. With this addition, Air India Express has expanded its Madhya Pradesh operations to about 60 weekly flights across three of its major airports: Bhopal, Gwalior, and Indore.
Air India Express will operate two daily flights on the Delhi- Bhopal route, and one daily flight on the Mumbai–Bhopal route. Additionally, the new service will enable guests from Bhopal to access one-stop connectivity to four international destinations – Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Muscat, and Sharjah – along with 16 domestic destinations including Bagdogra, Goa, Guwahati, Jammu, Kerala, and Varanasi across Air India Express’ network.
Bookings for these new routes are open on airindiaexpress.com, the airline’s mobile app, and all major travel booking channels.

Additionally, the airline has also launched a new international flight from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore airport connecting the city directly to Abu Dhabi. The new Indore-Abu Dhabi service will commence on 15 July, with three weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Beyond connecting destinations, Air India Express continues to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage through its Tales of India initiative. Madhya Pradesh finds proud representation on the airline’s two brand new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, VT-BXQ and VT-BXY, which feature liveries inspired by traditional hand-block printed design, Bagh and the handwoven textile, Chanderi, respectively.
Air India Express has recently announced three new international routes including Guwahati-Abu Dhabi, Guwahati-Dubai, and Navi Mumbai-Abu Dhabi. The airline today operates around 500 daily flights connecting 43 domestic and 16 international destinations supported by a growing fleet of over 100 aircraft.
