• Jio leads 5G Fixed Wireless Access with 453,885 subscribers and remains the sole 5G UBR provider

Reliance Jio led the 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) market in the Karnataka service area in June 2026, according to TRAI, with 453,885 subscribers — 58.9% of the circle’s 5G FWA base.

Jio’s wireless (mobile) base stood at 26,761,089 at the end of June (a 31.9% share of the circle’s 83,849,494 wireless subscribers); the company added 95,705 subscribers during the month.

Jio’s VLR (active-to-total) ratio in Karnataka was 91.60%.

On active subscribers — calculated as wireless subscribers on the date of peak VLR — Jio’s base was 24,513,158 (32.3% share), a net change of -37,661 during June.

In wireline, Jio’s base was 1,275,657 (21.1% share of the circle), with a net addition of 15,359 connections in June.

In 5G Fixed Wireless Access, Jio had 453,885 subscribers (58.9% of the circle’s 770,211 5G FWA base), adding 5,110 during June; only Bharti Airtel and Jio report 5G FWA. Jio also remained the only operator reporting 5G UBR fixed-wireless subscribers in Karnataka, with 310,129 subscribers (+12,766 in June).

M2M cellular connections are reported by TRAI at the national level only; a circle-level split for Karnataka is not available in the TRAI report. Quarterly (April–June 2026) additions are reported nationally in the accompanying National Benchmark Report.
