Mumbai: Dilip Buildcon Ltd. (DBL), the infrastructure company founded by Dilip Suryavanshi, has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) worth ₹160.20 crore from the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation (OB&CC) for the construction of a six-lane diversion road in Sundargarh district, Odisha. The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract strengthens the company’s road infrastructure portfolio and adds another government-backed project to its order book.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the project involves the construction of a six-lane diversion road with service roads on the Duduka-Gopalpur-Toparia Road, covering the stretch from km 4.700 to km 11.500. The contract is valued at ₹160.20 crore, excluding GST, and is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

Dilip Buildcon said the order has been awarded by a domestic entity. The company also clarified that neither its promoter, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding authority. It further confirmed that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction.

The latest award comes as governments continue to invest in strengthening road connectivity through new highways, bypasses and diversion roads that improve traffic flow and support regional economic development. EPC contracts remain a preferred execution model for public infrastructure projects, creating a steady pipeline of opportunities for engineering and construction companies with proven delivery capabilities.

By securing this contract, the company further strengthens its footprint in state-led road infrastructure projects and expands its execution pipeline. Regular order wins enhance long-term revenue visibility and serve as an important measure of future business performance.

The latest order also comes against the backdrop of the company’s recent financial performance. For the quarter ended March 2026 (Q4 FY26), Dilip Buildcon reported a consolidated net profit of ₹62.05 crore, down 63.67% from ₹170.83 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Revenue from operations declined 25.71% year-on-year to ₹2,299.80 crore.

Despite the softer quarterly results, sustained order inflows remain critical for infrastructure companies as they strengthen order books, support future revenue generation and provide long-term execution visibility. With governments continuing to prioritise investments in transport infrastructure, engineering companies with established EPC capabilities are expected to remain well positioned to participate in upcoming projects.

The Odisha Road project adds another contract to Dilip Buildcon’s expanding portfolio while strengthening its presence in eastern India.
