India’s disposable hygiene market is emerging as a significant growth opportunity, with the addressable market across baby diapers, adult diapers and sanitary napkins projected to expand from ₹240.6 billion in FY2025 to ₹438.4 billion by FY2030, representing a CAGR of 12.7%.
Swara Baby Products is increasingly positioning itself across all three categories as it expands from its traditional baby diaper base into adult incontinence and feminine hygiene. The company manufactures baby pant and tape-style diapers, adult pant and tape-style diapers, sanitary napkins and panty liners, alongside other disposable hygiene products.
According to the TKC Report, Swara Baby was India’s largest contract manufacturer by value in FY2025 across hygiene products including baby diapers, adult diapers and sanitary napkins. Its overall business combining own brands and contract manufacturing recorded 23.43% year-on-year growth in value between FY2025 and FY2026.
That growth is visible in its product mix. Sales of products increased from approximately Rs 933.37 Crores in FY2025 to ₹1153.29 Crores in FY2026. Baby diapers remained the largest category at around ₹911.81 Crores, contributing 79.06% of FY2026 product sales. Adult incontinence diapers contributed approximately ₹185.36 Crores, or 16.07%, while feminine hygiene products contributed around ₹31.36 Crores following Swara Baby’s entry into the category through its acquisition of KAEHPL in December 2025.
India’s baby diaper manufacturing market reached approximately ₹92.2 billion in FY2025 and is projected to reach ₹165.6 billion by FY2030, growing at a CAGR of 12.4% over FY2025-30. Domestic manufacturing already accounts for more than 97% of the market, while nearly 99% of diapers are consumed within India, underscoring the depth of the domestic opportunity. Contract manufacturers accounted for 17.8% of production in FY2025.Swara Baby held an estimated 37% share by value of India’s baby diaper contract manufacturing market in FY2025 and recorded 21.9% year-on-year growth in the segment in FY2026.
The adult diaper manufacturing market, although smaller, is expected to grow substantially faster. It is projected to more than double from ₹11.7 billion in FY2025 to ₹24.7 billion by FY2030, implying a CAGR of 16.0%. Contract manufacturing already represents 30.5% of the category and is projected to grow at 16.6% annually through FY2030, supported by private labels, elder-care companies and digital-first brands seeking flexible production without investing in captive manufacturing capacity. Swara Baby held an estimated 36% share by value of the adult diaper contract manufacturing market in FY2025 and recorded 24.9% year-on-year growth in FY2026. The numbers also point to a broader change in how hygiene products are manufactured. While baby diapers remain the largest segment, contract manufacturing has established a meaningful presence across categories, creating a manufacturing ecosystem that can serve established brands, private labels and newer digital-first businesses.
Swara Baby’s acquisition of KAEHPL in December 2025 has also provided an entry into feminine hygiene at a time when the manufacturing market is expanding. India’s sanitary napkin manufacturing market, valued at ₹73.2 billion in FY2025, is projected to reach ₹133.2 billion by FY2030, growing at 12.7% annually. Contract manufacturing is gaining share within the category, with its contribution projected to increase from 20.7% in FY2025 to 22.8% by FY2030. The sanitary napkin contract manufacturing market itself expanded from ₹8.6 billion in FY2020 to ₹15.2 billion in FY2025.
For Swara Baby, the significance is the evolution from a predominantly baby-diaper manufacturer into a broader disposable hygiene platform. Baby care provides scale, adult incontinence offers a faster-growth category, while feminine hygiene creates an additional growth vertical.
As India’s hygiene market becomes larger, more branded and increasingly organised, demand is also creating opportunities for specialised manufacturers capable of serving established brands, private labels and digital-first companies. Swara Baby’s expansion across all three major hygiene categories puts it directly at the intersection of these trends, participating not merely in one growing product segment, but in an addressable market projected to cross ₹421 billion by FY2030.
