As Assam and Bihar reel under severe floods, it has impacted the lives of millions of people who have lost their source of livelihood and are struggling to afford even the basic necessities. To reach out to these victims and extend a helping hand, Paytm, India’s homegrown financial technology platform is urging its users across India to contribute their bit by donating to CM Relief Fund.

This entire donation process is quite simple and can be completed within a minute. Most importantly, one can donate as low as Re. 1. Here’s the step-by-step procedure:

  • Open Paytm app and tap on ‘Show More’
  • Select Donations icon under Recharge and Pay Bills section
  • Click on ‘Contribute to’ and select Assam/Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
  • Next, enter your name, amount you will like to donate and tap on Proceed
  • Complete the transaction using your preferred mode including Paytm Wallet, UPI, cards and net banking

That’s it. You will be notified once the transaction is complete. You can also check your contribution details, download the payment receipt and contact 24X7 customer care to resolve any query.

Paytm has emerged as the preferred platform for Indians to donate to charity and contribute their bit in helping the vulnerable section of our society. The users can select from more than 60 NGOs listed on the app including Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, Smile Foundation, Roti Bank, Goonj, Yuvraj Singh Foundation and Healthy Aging India, and many more. They can also donate for PM CARES Fund and other state relief funds through their Paytm app.

The company has also launched a host of initiatives to join the fight against novel coronavirus. It has already contributed more than 100 crore to PM CARES Fund with the donations received from its users and is further aiming to contribute another 400 crore. It has been sending out face masks, gloves and other hygiene products to ensure the safety of frontline workers across the country. Besides this, it has served over 4.5 million free meals to daily-wagers, migrants and passengers on shramik trains across India.
