Mumbai : EuroKids Preschool, India’s foremost preschool expert, celebrated Independence Day across 1500+ centres nationwide, with over 100,000+ younglearners participating in colourful and thoughtful activities. Designed to introduce children to the spirit of freedom, unity, and cultural pride in a joyful and child-friendly way, the celebration reflected EuroKids’ commitment to experiential learning and emotional development. Aligned with its Heureka Curriculum, based on Harvard’s Project Zero and the NEP 2020, EuroKids continues to foster awareness, empathy, and a strong sense of identity among early learners through meaningful engagements.
At EuroKids, Independence Day is not just a patriotic occasion but an opportunity to spark curiosity and understanding about India’s rich heritage in a way that resonates with young minds. Through storytelling, music, movement, and creative expression, the day helped children explore what independence means in their own little world, from choosing their favourite activity to expressing their thoughts through colour and craft. It was a celebration of joy, freedom, and belonging wrapped in tricolour.
Children participated in a variety of engaging activities, including flag colouring, tricolour paper craft, and group singing of patriotic songs. Classrooms were decorated with handmade flags and balloons in saffron, white, and green. Teachers led a short and engaging Storytelling Circle, where children learned about national symbols like the Ashoka Chakra and the peacock. In some centres, children came dressed in ethnic attire and participated in a Mini March Past, waving flags and cheering together. A Photo Booth Corner with props like “Proud to be Indian” and “My India, My Pride” helped capture the enthusiasm of the day. Celebrations concluded with children standing together for the national anthem, an early introduction to unity and pride.
Dishubou Wijunamai, Partner, EuroKids Kanglatongbi, Manipur, shared: “This year, Independence Day at EuroKids Kanglatongbi centre was full of little moments that made us smile. The children came dressed in white, green and orange. Our teachers sat with them in circles and told stories about freedom fighters — simple, powerful tales that made them listen with wide eyes and curious hearts. They sang songs and danced together. It wasn’t just about the flag hoisting, it was about teaching them to feel proud of where they come from. Celebrations like these remind us how special it is to be part of their very first experiences of India’s story.”
KVS Seshasai, CEO, Pre-K Division, Lighthouse Learning (EuroKids) said, “At EuroKids, we believe that foundational values like empathy, pride, and identity must be nurtured from the earliest years. Our Independence Day celebrations help children connect with the idea of being part of something bigger, of loving their country and respecting others. It’s our mission to build not just capable learners, but thoughtful, aware citizens of tomorrow.”
EuroKids continues to lead the way in early childhood education by blending structured learning with emotional, cultural, and social awareness. Through celebrations like Independence Day, the brand reinforces its commitment to raising confident, well-rounded, and rooted individuals teaching children not just what to think, but how to think.
