- Strong and expanding distribution and retail footprint across key Maharashtra markets, supported by long-standing distributor partnerships.
- The state acts as a primary launchpad for new product introductions, helping drive faster market adoption and trade-led expansion.
- The region contributes significantly to volume growth, repeat purchases and premium product uptake, strengthening overall revenue momentum.
Mumbai : Maharashtra continues to be a strategically critical market for Pexpo, a leading Indian brand in sustainable steel bottle manufacturing, with the West Region contributing nearly 30% of the company’s overall business. Backed by a strong and expanding distribution network across Maharashtra, along with Gujarat and Goa, the West region has emerged as a key driver for Pexpo’s revenue growth, new product launches, and trade-led expansion initiatives.
With deep-rooted marketplace presence, distributor and retail partnerships across major Maharashtra markets, the region has played a pivotal role in strengthening brand visibility and accelerating adoption of Made-in-India insulated bottles. Pexpo’s consistent performance in the state highlights strong consumer trust, robust retail presence, and sustained engagement with trade partners, positioning Maharashtra as one of the company’s most important growth hubs.
Pexpo has also achieved a ten-fold increase in revenue over the last six years, growing from approximately ₹20 crore in 2020 to ₹180 crore in 2024, and is now on track to cross ₹250 crore by the end of FY 2025. This growth has been driven by continued investments in innovation, manufacturing excellence, and the company’s mission to reduce plastic dependency across India.
“Our journey has been truly inspiring. We began with a small foundation and a big vision,” said Vedant Padia, Director, Pexpo. “Within six years, our revenue has grown 10 times, indicating the trust of our customers and the relentless effort of our team. Markets like Maharashtra have been central to this growth, helping us scale faster, introduce new products, and strengthen our trade ecosystem.”
He further added, “The insulated bottle category in India has historically been import-driven, with limited domestic manufacturing presence. Pexpo entered the market with a clear intent to disrupt this dependency and redefine industry benchmarks. The company played a key role in changing consumer perception, demonstrating that Made-in-India bottles can match global quality standards in performance, durability, and design. Notably, only one out of the top five brands in the category currently manufactures in India, underscoring the long-term vision of Pexpo’s leadership, which committed to setting up a greenfield manufacturing facility as early as 2014.”
Pexpo’s growth has been guided by its core belief of replacing plastic, not only for health reasons but also to drive sustainability for the planet and its people.
Pexpo Champions India’s Interests with Anti-Dumping Duty on Vacuum Flasks
In an achievement for India’s manufacturing ecosystem, Pexpo also emerged as the sole domestic applicant to file the petition seeking Anti-Dumping Duty (ADD) on Vacuum Flasks imported from China.
This singular step, rooted in national interest and aligned with the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, marks a turning point for the Indian steel bottle industry. Following a rigorous multi-year evaluation, the Government of India approved the Anti-Dumping Duty in March 2025, setting the stage for a transformed, self-reliant manufacturing landscape.
As the industry’s first mover in this direction, Pexpo has helped shift the sector from an import-dependent supply chain to one built on end-to-end domestic manufacturing, strengthening the ‘Made in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ mission.
“This duty is not for us alone, this is for the whole country,” Vedant Padia added. “This bold step, taken in line with the vision of ‘Made in India,’ will help India in multiple ways like –
- Generate large-scale employment within India. (We are one of the largest recruiters of women workers)
- Empower women by increasing opportunities in manufacturing.
- Reduce dependence on Chinese imports and strengthen Indian manufacturers.
- Promote technology transfer and skill development.
- Strengthen local industry and promote the true spirit of Make in India.”
This achievement belongs to every Indian worker, every Indian entrepreneur, and every customer who believes in Indian products and the dream of a self-reliant India.
