Mumbai : Binance, the global blockchain company behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and users, hosted the Mumbai chapter of Binance Blockchain Yatra 2025, the fourth and the largest city edition of its nationwide initiative to advance blockchain awareness and Web3 adoption across India.

Over 400+ industry leaders, innovators, startup founders, investors, and blockchain enthusiasts converged at St. Regis Mumbai, underscoring the city’s pivotal rolein driving India’s digital and financial innovation.As the nation’s financial and entrepreneurial capital, Mumbai set the stage for crucial dialogues on responsibly scaling blockchain solutions, fostering education,  and building long-term value through collaboration and compliance.

Two key sessions anchored the day’s discussions. The first, a fireside chat titled“India at the Center: Scaling Web3 and Blockchain Adoption and Innovation”featured Rachel Conlan, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Binance, and S.B. Seker, Head of APAC, Binance, in conversation with senior journalist Bhupendra Chaubey.The discussion explored India’s growing role as a key driver in the global Web3 ecosystem, transitioning from early awareness to large-scale innovation and real world use cases. Speakers emphasized the evolution of blockchain from speculative use to transformative infrastructure, a shift enabled by platforms like Binance through education, accessibility, and technology development.

India’s blockchain market, valued at USD 657 million in 2024, is projected to reach USD 61.5 billion by 2033, supported by a thriving ecosystem comprising 12% of global crypto developers and over 1,000 Web3 startups.

Complementing the dialogue, a policy focussed panel titled “Building Maharashtra’s Blockchain & Web3 Future: Policy, Innovation, and Asset Tokenization,” brought together leading voices from government and industry, including Kaustubh Dhavse, Chief Advisor to the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Tuhin Sinha, National Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party, and S.B. Seker, Head of APAC, Binance,moderated by Bhupendra Chaubey. The discussion followed Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s recent announcement of an asset tokenization framework aimed at unlocking nearly ₹50 trillion in dormant capital by digitizing land, infrastructure, and government assets, a move underscoring Maharashtra’s commitment to responsible innovation and digital transformation.
