Mumbai : Shree Refrigerations Limited (SRL) is pleased to announce that it has received a significant order in the defence segment valued at Rs106.62 Crore from Hindustan Shipyard Limited for the supply of turnkey HVAC systems for the Indian Navy’s Fleet Support Ship (FSS) project.
Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) is building five Fleet Support Ships (FSS) for the Indian Navy. These ships will carry fuel, food, and ammunition to naval vessels at sea, enhancing the Navy’s operational reach and endurance. The project is a key step in India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
This order follows earlier contracts awarded to SRL for the supply of Refrigeration Plants (Rs 30.72 Crore) and Magnetic Bearing Chillers (Rs 68.61 Crore) for the same vessel. Together, these contracts mark a landmark achievement, as SRL will be delivering a complete turnkey air-conditioning and refrigeration solution for the first time on a naval ship of this scale and complexity.
The complete HVAC&R solution under this project will be indigenously developed, in alignment with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, further strengthening India’s capabilities in advanced HVAC and refrigeration systems for the defence sector.
With the addition of this order, SRL’s total order book now stands in excess of Rs 300 Crore, reflecting significant growth and deeper participation in prestigious national projects. This milestone underscores Shree Refrigerations’ belief that it does not merely manufacture products, but delivers solutions that embody innovation, self-reliance, and national pride.
