The Academy School (TAS), Pune, celebrated the spirit of leadership and responsibility with a grand Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26. The event, held in the school’s auditorium, was the formal induction of 12 students of the Students Council 2025-26, who were handed out badges and sashes as symbols of trust and responsibility.
The students, including Head Boy and Girl, Assistant Head Boy and Girl, Sports, Cultural, and House Captains, also took oath and were formally entrusted with their duties. They pledged their dedication and commitment to their peers and teachers. The event was a testament to TAS’s commitment to nurturing young minds into confident, accountable leaders of the future.
The ceremony commenced with a vibrant welcome song and an inspiring rendition of the school song by the school choir. The presence of the School Principal, Vice Principal, Coordinators, and proud parents added to the celebration of the occasion.
Principal Ms. Indira Ramachandran, in her keynote address, emphasised the significance of student leadership and the role of young changemakers in shaping society. She congratulated the newly appointed leaders and urged them to lead by example, upholding the values and vision of the school.
Dr. Maithili Tambe, CEO of TAS, said such events emphasise TAS’ commitment to instil strong leadership qualities. “The event also serves as a reminder that a sense of civic responsibility begins in schools. Through such events, we want to build responsible leaders of tomorrow and we see that in our students. That is what education truly is,” Tambe said.
