MUMBAI : BSE Index Services Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of BSE, today announced the launch of 4 new BSE Factor Indices from the BSE 150 Midcap Index as Universe with 5% Stock Level Capping.
These Indices are Reconstituted Quarterly, have a base value of 1000, and the first value date is 20th June 2005 along with the additional screening of 100% Stock Trading Frequency.
The indices launched today include:

Mr. Ashutosh Singh, MD & CEO of BSE Index Services Pvt. Ltd, highlighted the significance of these indices, stating, “Mid-caps are a critical building block in long-term portfolios, with this launch the BSE factor indices now span large caps, large-mid, broad market 500 universe and mid-caps. The objective is to create a seamless and institution grade investable factor continuum while also enabling ETF and passive fund managers to build coherent, market-wide strategies aligned to different risk–return objectives.”
These new indices can be used for running passive strategies such as ETFs and Index Funds. It can also be used for benchmarking of PMS strategies, MF schemes and fund portfolio. Investors can now access a broader spectrum of market opportunities, further enriching their investment strategies with this latest addition to BSE’s suite of indices.
