Declared L1 for Renuka Ji Dam Project (Package-1) and Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Scheme; Total Value Over ₹978.04 crore

Mumbai : Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) has been declared the Lowest Bidder (L1) for two significant water infrastructure projects with a combined value exceeding ₹978.04 crore, reinforcing its leadership in hydropower, irrigation, and tunnelling projects.

Renuka Ji Dam Project (Package-1) – Himachal Pradesh

PEL has been declared L1 by Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) for the prestigious Renuka Ji Dam Project (Package-1) valued at ₹910.08 crore (including GST).

The project is located at Village Dadahu, Tehsil Renuka, District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh and is scheduled to be completed within 30 months.

The scope of work includes the construction of three diversion tunnels, each with a diameter of 9.5 meters and lengths of 1,379 meters, 1,468 meters, and 1,590 meters, respectively. The project also involves the development of inlet and outlet portals, construction of approximately 6 kilometers of access roads, installation of hydro-mechanical gates, and execution of instrumentation works to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

The Renuka Ji Dam Project is a key initiative aimed at enhancing water storage capacity, ensuring reliable water supply, and supporting hydropower generation.

Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Scheme – Maharashtra (JV Project)

In a joint venture, PEL has also been declared L1 by Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation, Pune, for a ₹133.25 crore irrigation project under the Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Scheme. PEL’s share in the contract is ₹67.96 crore (51%).

The project, to be completed within 48 months, is located across the villages of Tasgaon, Varne, Karandwadi, Devkarwadi, Degaon, and Nigadi in Satara Taluka, Satara District.

The scope of work includes the construction of head works, pump houses, switch yards, rising mains, and delivery chambers, along with the installation of pumping machinery.

The project also involves the development of a closed pipe distribution system covering an irrigable command area of 2,277 hectares. In addition, it includes excavation of deep trenches for laying rising mains and the supply, laying, and jointing of mild steel (M.S.), prestressed cement concrete (P.C.C.P.), and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipelines.

The works further encompass all allied civil, mechanical, and electrical components necessary for the successful execution and commissioning of the project.
