New Delhi : Primus Partners strengthened the national conversation on inclusive climate action as the Knowledge Partner at Unpollute 2026 – The Sustainability Conclave, organised by STEP startups. The conclave brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors and ecosystem stakeholders to deliberate on advancing women-led climate action and sustainability-driven economic growth aligned with India’s long-term development priorities.

Through its engagement, Primus Partners anchored discussions on ESG accountability, blended finance, and institutional mechanisms required to enable inclusive participation in emerging climate markets, with a particular emphasis on translating climate policy into implementable action frameworks.

The conclave witnessed the presence of several senior leaders including Rashmi Singh, Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development (WCD), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, and Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Former Union Minister and Founder, Alliance for Global Good, Gender Equity and Equality.

Addressing the gathering, Rashmi Singh highlighted the need to strengthen community-level institutional support systems and ensure convergence across government programmes. She emphasised that sustained capacity-building initiatives are essential to enable women’s participation in sustainable livelihoods and to integrate them into climate-resilient local economic ecosystems.

A key highlight of the conclave was a Fireside Chat featuring Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, who spoke about the central role of digital access in enabling women’s empowerment. She noted that financial inclusion must evolve alongside innovation to allow women entrepreneurs to scale meaningfully. Emphasising the role of confidence and institutional support, she observed that structured engagement with women across cities is encouraging enterprise participation and unlocking economic opportunity.

“True empowerment begins with digital access. When women are digitally enabled, confidence rises and opportunity expands,” said Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani.

Primus Partners contributed research-led insights contextualised within India’s Net Zero 2070 commitment, the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision, and the Union Budget’s focus on green growth and climate finance mobilisation.

Commenting on the engagement, Charu Malhotra, Co-founder and Managing Director, Primus Partners, said, “Sustainability leadership today requires integrating policy ambition with market discipline and inclusive participation. Through our knowledge partnership, we sought to translate dialogue into actionable frameworks that connect capital, accountability and competitiveness.”

The conclave concluded with an awards ceremony recognising leadership and innovation across sustainability and climate action categories, celebrating institutions and individuals driving measurable impact across the climate ecosystem.
