India : Shree Cement Limited, one of India’s leading cement producers, announced that its Khushkhera (KKGU) Grinding Unit has been honoured with the First Prize for Lowest Specific Energy Consumption in the Cement Sector at the Rajasthan Energy Conservation Awards 2026. The awards, organised by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited, were held at the Vidhan Sabha Auditorium in Jaipur in the presence of Shri Hira Lal Nagar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Energy, and Shri Ajitabh Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan.
The award was received on behalf of the KKGU Grinding Unit by Mr. Sanjay Singh, Head Energy Management, Corporate Office Gurgaon, and Mr. Abhishek Ranjan, Head E&I, KKGU Grinding Unit.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satish Maheshwari, Chief Manufacturing Officer, Shree Cement, said, “We are honoured that the Khushkhera Grinding Unit has been recognised for its energy efficiency.
