Mumbai : Interio by Godrej, a home and office furniture brand of the Godrej Enterprises Group, announced its plans to grow its kitchen business at a 10% CAGR over the next five years. The brand has seen strong momentum across Tier 2-3 cities, driven by consumer demand for functional kitchen spaces in modern Indian homes.
The Kitchen & Dining Furniture market in India is projected to reach US$251.32 million in 2025, growing at a 2.28% CAGR through 2030. Interio is positioned to outpace this growth, backed by new product launches, expansion of Kitchen galleries to 250 locations across 120 cities and the advanced manufacturing facility at Khalapur, Maharashtra, which now produces up to 250 kitchens per day.
Dev Narayan Sarkar, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business, Interio by Godrej, said, “The Indian kitchen is no longer just a utility space, it’s becoming a lifestyle statement. Consumers today want modular solutions that blend design, functionality and long-term durability. Our growth is being fuelled by these evolving aspirations, with 35% of our sales now coming from Tier 2-3 cities, up from 24% in FY24.”
Interio has launched Kitchen Configurator on its e-commerce platform, allowing customers to visualize their dream kitchens with 3D modeling technology. The platform offers pre-configured modules designed for basic kitchen layouts, with prices starting from Rs. 1.25 lakhs. Customers can connect directly with the nearest dealer through the configurator personalised solutions based on specific site requirements and civil demands.
One of the flagships offering of Interio in Kitchen Segment is the Steel Chef, which provides a modular steel kitchen range for the mid premium segment, offering a blend of durability, aesthetics and personalization options. Interio also manufactures key accessories like smart chimneys and Tall corner unit, 22 hundred units, Tall pull-out units (7feet), to address common challenges in Indian kitchens.
The L-shaped kitchen layout remains the most popular choice among Indian consumers due to its adaptability and efficient space utilization. Interio’s modular CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units are designed for faster installation with modern service equipment, taking an average of 5-7 days for installation compared to traditional carpenter-made kitchens. Interio plans to leverage emerging trends including smart home integration, sustainable materials, biophilic design elements and multifunctional furniture to compete in the rapidly evolving market.
