Mumbai: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, SMK Helmets led a special Women’s Day Ride that brought together over 50 women riders from across Delhi-NCR, celebrating the spirit of motorcycling while reinforcing the importance of rider safety and wellbeing.

Participants rode wearing premium SMK helmets, highlighting the importance of protective riding gear as an essential part of modern motorcycling.

Centred around the theme “Ride Free. Ride Safe.” and organised in collaboration with the riding group Angels and Roadsters, the initiative highlighted the importance of protection and health for women riders while encouraging them to take to the road with confidence.

The ride brought together over 50 women riders, including around 40% from the SMK riding community, beginning at Bikeaholic Progears, Sector 104, Noida, and culminating at Fortis Hospital, Noida Sector 63. Riders assembled early at 6:00 AM before setting off together, forming a vibrant convoy of women riders across Noida’s streets.

The initiative reflects the growing presence of women riders across India, as more women embrace motorcycling as a symbol of independence, adventure and community. Riding communities across India are witnessing increasing participation by women riders who are redefining motorcycling culture while prioritising safe and responsible riding.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Aditya Verma, General Manager – Sales and Marketing at SMK Helmets, said: “The spirit of motorcycling lies in freedom, confidence and responsibility for every rider. The theme ‘Ride Free. Ride Safe.’ reflects the belief that riders should be able to pursue their passion while prioritising safety, protection and wellbeing. It is inspiring to see diverse riding communities, especially women riders, embracing the road with growing confidence. Being at the forefront of this shift, SMK continues its commitment to premium design, advanced safety and superior comfort, catering to diverse riding styles and enabling riders to pursue motorcycling with confidence.”

The ride was supported by partner organisations who joined hands to promote the shared message of safety, health and empowerment for women riders.

As part of the celebration, participants received special giveaways including the SMK Stellar Sport helmet, designed to deliver high standards of safety, comfort and performance.

Through such community led initiatives, SMK continues to strengthen its engagement with India’s growing riding communities while championing a culture of safe, responsible and inclusive motorcycling.
