Aims to provide sustainable livelihood for women dairy farmers

Chennai :  Dvara Kshetriya Gramin Financial Services (Dvara KGFS), a major NBFC working in India’s financial inclusion space, has signed an MoU with Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripaa Milk Producer Company, the largest milk producer in East Uttar Pradesh.   

The MoU was exchanged between Mr. Rahul Tripathy CPO, Dvara KGFS with Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa’s Chairperson, Mrs. Neeraj , in the presence of Mr. Krishna Pratap Singh, AVP, Dairy Value Chain and Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Zonal Head – East 2 , Dvara KGFS and the Board of Directors of SBGK; Shri Dhanraj Sahani (CE & Director); Dr. Neeraj Raghuvanshi (Head – IBP); Dr. Arun Choudhary (Head – PES); and Mrs. Disha Mishra (CS).  

Mr. Rahul Tripathy, Chief Product Officer, Dvara KGFS said, This partnership marks a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen women-led dairy livelihoods. By combining enhanced market access with tailored financial solutions, we aim to help a lot more rural households in the UP region achieve greater long-term income stability”. 

This MoU enables Dvara KGFS to leverage and monetize nearly 80,000 liters of milk collected daily by SBGK. It also allows the company to extend its financial services to nearly 44,000 women dairy farmers, along with other dairy farming households, helping them build resilient and sustainable livelihoods. 

On speaking about this partnership, Mrs. Neeraj, Chairperson, Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripaa Milk Producer Company, said,“Our association with Dvara KGFS will strengthen the support system for women dairy farmers in the Gorakhpur division. By setting up an institutional framework at the village level and ensuring year-round market access for their milk, we are helping these women build sustainable livelihoods, enhance their economic independence, and create long-term economic security for their families”.

This initiative also marks the launch of Dvara KGFS’s Dairy Value Chain product line, a structured financing approach that supports dairy farmers across the entire value chain – from cattle care and milk production to centralized milk collection and steady income generation. By working together, Dvara KGFS can provide more accurate income assessment and customized financial solutions to dairy farmers across Uttar Pradesh, helping them strengthen their livelihoods. 

With this collaboration, Dvara KGFS is expanding their product suite to help dairy entrepreneurs manage climate risk and build financial resilience against adverse climate impacts all the while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically, SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
