New high-efficiency motor range combines advanced engineering, compliance with global standards and sustainability for demanding industrial applications

(CG), a global engineering company and a leader in the electrical engineering industry, announced the launch of NEXORA – a new series of next generation IE3 & IE4 General Purpose Motors, further strengthening its global portfolio of low voltage (LV) motors. This new range of squirrel cage induction motors, an addition to CG’s existing IE3 & IE4 portfolio, is designed to deliver superior energy efficiency, operational reliability and sustainable performance across diverse industrial applications worldwide.

Positioned as “Robust. Efficient. Reliable,” the NEXORA range reflects CG’s commitment to enabling industries to reduce energy consumption, lower lifecycle costs and support their sustainability goals without compromising on performance.

The NEXORA IE3 & IE4 motors combine advanced design with premium-quality materials to deliver higher power density, lower temperature rise, minimal noise and vibration, extended service life, and energy efficiency that exceeds the requirements of IS 12615 while outperforming IEC benchmark standards. Compliant with IS 12615:2026, IEC 60034-30-1:2005 and IS 15999-1, the NEXORA range is currently available in the CG280SM cast-iron TEFC frame sizes, covering the 37 kW to 90 kW power range across 2, 4, 6 and 8-pole configurations. The complete NEXORA portfolio, spanning 80 to 355 frame sizes, is being progressively rolled out and will be made available to the market in phases, further expanding CG’s comprehensive portfolio of energy-efficient low voltage motors.

  • Best-in-class IE3 & IE4 efficiency: Best-in-class energy performance that exceeds IS 12615 requirements and outperforms IEC benchmark standards, helping industries reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Advanced insulation technology: A unique Impulse Voltage Insulation Class scheme compliant with IEC 60034-18-41, delivering enhanced thermal endurance, superior resistance to voltage stress and longer winding life.
  • Enhanced C3M corrosion protection: Improved durability in humid and chemically aggressive environments, extending equipment life and reducing maintenance.
  • Low noise and vibration: Precision-engineered design reduces mechanical stress, improves bearing life and lowers maintenance requirements.
  • VFD-ready design: Optimised for variable frequency drive applications requiring precise speed control and enhanced process efficiency.
