Mumbai: Mphasis, (BSE: 526299; NSE: MPHASIS), a global AI-led, platform-driven technology solutions provider, today announced that it has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal for 2026, placing the company among the top 15% of more than 130,000 companies assessed globally across 200 industries and 175 countries. The company improved its overall EcoVadis sustainability score from 55 in 2025 to 75 in 2026, a 20-point increase in just over a year, reflecting the progress it has made in strengthening its environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
The rating reflects Mphasis’ continued focus on responsible governance, human rights, environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices. The company’s improved performance across all four EcoVadis assessment pillars highlights the progress made in embedding sustainability across its operations and value chain.
- Environment: 82/100 (+34 points), revealing stronger environmental management, expanded Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting, measurable targets for energy, emissions and waste, and continued progress towards its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
- Labour & Human Rights: 76/100 (+21 points), indicating improvements in workplace health and safety, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion, supported by ISO 45001 certification and recognition as a Great Place to Work 2025-26.
- Ethics: 73/100 (+14 points), showcasing stronger anti-corruption practices, information security controls, whistleblower mechanisms and ethics awareness across the organisation.
- Sustainable Procurement: 67/100 (+11 points), reflecting improvements in responsible sourcing through supplier sustainability standards, ESG requirements in supplier contracts and supplier engagement programmes.

The EcoVadis Silver Medal builds on Mphasis’ broader sustainability agenda. The company is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reports climate performance to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), aligns its sustainability reporting with the GRI Universal Standards, and tracks its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mphasis has also been recognised in the S&P Global Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) and the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024, reinforcing its continued commitment to responsible and sustainable growth.

- 35.03% of Mphasis’ workforce comprises women, with women representing 35.06% of STEM roles.
- Met 58% of its total energy requirements through renewable sources and achieved 100% wastewater recycling across its campuses.
- Invested INR 398.14 million in community development initiatives through its CSR programmes.
- Assessed 100% of new suppliers against environmental and social criteria while managing a network of more than 5,400 active vendors.
- Delivered an average of 31.8 hours of learning and development per employee during the year.
- We have large-scale ecosystem restoration projects, such as plantation of 1,00,000 trees at the Doddasagare Botanical Garden and restoration of 70 acres of mangroves.
- Our “One Billion Drops” initiative aims to conserve 153 million litres of rainwater by 2026 with 1,200 percolation wells.
