Mumbai: Sterling and Wilson Data Center (SWDC), one of the world’s leading Data Centre EPC players, is part of the consortium delivering the SoleCrypt AI Campus in Bizerte, Tunisia, announced by SoleCrypt at NVIDIA GTC Europe in Berlin. North Africa’s first purpose-built AI factory, the campus is planned to have a total capacity of 40 MW, with Phase 1 comprising a 7 MW deployment designed around the NVIDIA HGX Rubin NVL8 platform. Expected to be operational in early 2028, the project aims to establish sovereign AI computing infrastructure in the region, enabling access to advanced computing capacity for businesses, startups and research organisations across North Africa and the wider MENA region.

SWDC brings extensive experience in engineering, procurement and construction of data centre infrastructure, with over 30 projects delivered across India, the GCC and Africa since 2015. Its experience spans markets including Egypt, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola and Saudi Arabia. SWDC’s participation in the SoleCrypt AI Campus further strengthens its presence in Africa’s evolving digital infrastructure landscape and reflects the growing importance of specialised infrastructure to support next-generation AI computing requirements.
