Systematix Private Wealth targets ₹40,000 crore AUM in five years; to build presence across seventeen cities with a team of 146 private bankers, subject to business growth and market conditions.

Systematix Private Wealth, the private wealth management arm of the Systematix Group, has outlined its growth plan, targeting assets under management (AUM) of ₹40,000 crore over the next five years, up from approximately ₹12,000 crore group assets under custody today.

The plan rests on three fronts: AUM growth, expansion to seventeen cities across India over five years and a focused build-out of its private wealth team.

AUM: more than threefold growth over five years

SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH has approximately ₹12,000 crore group assets under custody today. It targets ₹40,000 crore within five years.

Growth will come from three client segments: HNIs with ₹5-25 crore in investable surplus, largely CXOs and professionals; UHNIs with ₹25 crore and above, largely business owners and family offices; and corporate treasuries, served by the firm’s fixed-income desk.

Cities: six-city footprint in the first year

SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH will operate across six cities in its first year: Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Indore. The firm targets to expand to seventeen cities within five years.

The footprint reflects SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH’s view that significant new wealth is being created beyond the metros. For example, in Indore, the firm has built on the Systematix Group’s existing stock-broking office and has set up a dedicated local wealth team.

Headcount: a lean, senior private banking team

SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH plans to have 40-45 private bankers in its first year, scaling to 146 by the fifth year. The firm is deliberately staying lean, favouring expertise over a large sales force.

The investment-bank-led model

SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH is an investment-bank-led private wealth firm. It draws on the Systematix Group’s four decades in investment banking, with deep expertise in mid and small caps, pre-IPO placements, IPOs, QIPs, rights issues and M&A. The Group’s institutional equities research team covers more than 300 stocks.

This gives SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH’s clients early access to companies, often years before a liquidity event and research-backed conviction in every recommendation.

Bhaskar Hazra, Joint MD & CEO, Systematix Private Wealth, said : “Wealth management in India has moved from being product-led to advisory-led. Families now think about structure, risk framework and succession, not just the next product. As an investment-bank-led firm, we bring four decades of capital markets experience and our own research into every client conversation. We are building a lean, high-calibre team of private bankers and taking that proposition to the cities where new wealth is being created.”

Ashish Saxena, Director and Head – Investments & Products, Systematix Private Wealth, said: “Clients rarely move their existing assets in one go; they move their incremental wealth. Wealth management has a long gestation and our plan is built on a five-year view. Senior leadership at SYSTEMATIX PRIVATE WEALTH meets clients directly, which is how trust is built in this business.”
