The collaboration debuts Gallardo and Tony, sculpted hard-shell trolleys designed for the modern travelers
Bengaluru: Rare Rabbit, the premium menswear fashion and lifestyle apparel brand under The House of Rare, has officially forayed into the travel gear segment with a strategic partnership with Escape Plan, the design-first travel accessories platform, unveiling Gallardo and Tony, two design-forward luggage collections created for the modern Indian traveller.
Known for its sharp tailoring and refined essentials, the brand now carries its design language beyond the wardrobe and into motion. The move reflects a growing shift among modern consumers, where what you travel with matters just as much as where you’re headed.
Developed in collaboration with Escape Plan, Gallardo features a sleek matte hard shell with a subtle carbon weave finish and sculpted geometric panels. Gun metal accents across the logo plate, trolley system, pullers and wheel detailing add to its refined, contemporary appeal. The luggage is available in Dark Blue, Carbon Black and Dark Grey, and comes in Cabin, Medium and Large sizes, designed for everything from quick weekend getaways to extended travel.
The exterior pairs a scratch-resistant matte shell with reinforced corners, 360° spinner wheels, a telescopic trolley system and an integrated TSA lock. Inside, a black dual-compartment layout with a zippered divider, fabric storage pockets, compression straps, a removable toiletry compartment and a gun metal hanger ensures organised packing with a cohesive aesthetic.
Alongside Gallardo, the partnership also introduces Tony, a diagonally textured matte luggage collection designed for travelers who prefer understated luxury with architectural detailing. Built with a scratch resistant hard shell and a distinctive diagonal matte texture, Tony features signature gold finish hardware across pullers, trolley pipe, handle button and wheel accents, along with a subtle metal deco strip that wraps the body. The collection is available in Dark Blue, Dark Grey and Beige across Cabin, Medium and Large sizes. Inside, Tony features a coordinated dual compartment system with net and fabric storage pockets, compression straps, a removable toiletry module, translucent wet pouch and an integrated hanger, combining refined aesthetics with practical organisation.
Manish Poddar, Founder & Creative Director, The House of Rare, said, “Rare has always had a distinct point of view on design, craftsmanship and what premium should truly feel like. Our consumer has evolved with us, and their sense of style extends far beyond the wardrobe, it travels with them. Through our partnership with Escape Plan, we are bringing the Rare design philosophy into a new category, with the same creative rigor, attention to detail and long-term vision that have shaped our brand. This is a natural extension of our lifestyle universe, where every touchpoint reflects the individuality and aspirations of our consumer.”
Speaking about the partnership, Abhinav Pathak, Co-Founder and CEO, Escape Plan, said, “The travel space in India is growing very rapidly, but the high-end luggage market is still very function driven. We believe there is a huge opportunity to create a design-led, aspirational brand that blends performance and identity. Partnering with Rare Rabbit enables us to combine strong fashion equity with deep category expertise and omni-channel scale. Together, we are shaping a premium travel platform that is both commercially robust and culturally relevant for modern Indian consumers.”
As travel becomes increasingly intertwined with lifestyle, the Rare Rabbit and Escape Plan partnership signals a new direction for Indian premium brands, where luggage moves beyond utility and becomes part of a considered, design-led way of living.
With Gallardo, Rare Rabbit takes its first step into travel, carrying forward its fashion identity into a category that continues to grow in cultural and commercial significance.
