Bengaluru, India: Qlik® announced the start of Saugata Saha’s tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 31, 2026. Saha succeeds Mike Capone and will build on Qlik’s foundation of customer value creation, product innovation, and disciplined growth.
Saha joins Qlik after more than a decade at S&P Global, where he most recently served simultaneously as President of S&P Global Market Intelligence and Chief Enterprise Data Officer. The combined role gave him responsibility for running global businesses built on data and intelligence while also leading the enterprise data, technology, interoperability, and AI capabilities that supported them.
He assumes the role as AI raises the standard enterprise technology must meet. AI models, assistants, and interfaces are becoming more accessible. The harder, more durable work remains inside the enterprise: establishing trusted data, preserving business context, embedding intelligence into workflows, governing action, managing cost, and proving outcomes.
“AI is creating a powerful jet stream across enterprise technology,” said Saugata Saha, President and Chief Executive Officer of Qlik. “Models and interfaces are becoming abundant, but trusted context, workflow depth, and operating judgment are not. Qlik enters this next chapter from a position of strength, with trusted customer relationships, deep product expertise, and technology designed for complex enterprise environments. Our opportunity is to build on those advantages, help customers apply AI to the workflows that matter most, preserve their freedom to adapt, and turn technology investment into outcomes they can measure.”
What’s new
Qlik brings together data integration, data quality, analytics, automation, and AI across the heterogeneous environments its customers already operate. Under Saha’s leadership, the company will build on those strengths in three areas:
- Extend Qlik’s role in high-value workflows: Help customers apply trusted data, analytics, automation, and AI to decisions and processes with meaningful business impact.
- Preserve choice as AI architectures evolve: Support customers across their existing clouds, data platforms, models, applications, and partners without requiring a closed or single-provider environment.
- Accelerate measurable outcomes: Deepen the connection between Qlik adoption and improvements in decision quality, operating speed, cost, risk, and customer experience.
Qlik makes data work for AI by connecting trusted data, persistent business context, and governed action across the systems customers already use. The result is AI that is more reliable, more cost-efficient, and easier to adapt as models, clouds, and business requirements change, without forcing customers to rebuild what they already own.
Saha previously led both S&P Global Market Intelligence and S&P Global’s Energy division through periods of transformation, revenue growth, and margin expansion. His earlier roles included Chief Financial Officer of the Market Intelligence and Platts divisions, Chief Operating Officer of Global Technology, and leadership positions in corporate strategy and post-merger integration. Before joining S&P Global, he spent seven years at McKinsey & Company.
Qlik recognizes Mike Capone for his leadership over the past eight years and the strong customer, product, and organizational foundation established during his tenure.
