Mumbai: Motorola, a global leader in mobile technology and innovation, today announced that the motorola signature 27 has been ranked by DXOMARK as having the world’s best camera system among smartphones introduced in 2026¹. Achieving an overall score of 173, the device has also received DXOMARK’s Gold Label Camera recognition, a distinction reserved for smartphones that deliver an exceptional camera experience across photography and videography.

The recognition reflects Motorola’s continued investment in smartphone imaging, combining advanced camera hardware, intelligent software and close collaboration with imaging experts to deliver a refined photography and videography experience. DXOMARK is an independent technology company with more than 20 years of expertise in image quality evaluation. Through scientific testing, proprietary tools and established methodologies, DXOMARK assesses the performance of consumer devices across a wide range of real-world conditions. The motorola signature 27’s Gold Label Camera recognition is based on its performance across photography and video, demonstrating its capabilities in diverse shooting environments.

To achieve this level of performance, Motorola’s camera team captured hundreds of thousands of photos and hundreds of hours of video across a wide range of lighting conditions, zoom ranges and everyday use cases. Working alongside DXOMARK’s teams in Paris, Motorola’s engineers used its testing methodologies and evaluation tools to analyse performance and identify strengths as well as areas for improvement. This collaboration helped fine-tune image quality across key experiences, including portraits, low-light photography, zoom and video capture.

“At Motorola, we believe that exceptional smartphone photography is about more than just advanced hardware it is about enabling people to capture and relive their most meaningful moments with greater clarity and creativity.
